AMERICANISM

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

POSTER CONTEST

This contest will be directed at students in the 4th or 5th grades, depending on which grade year the American Revolution is taught in their educational system. The purpose of the SAR’s National Society Elementary School Poster Contest is to stimulate interest in American History in support of the Fourth or Fifth Grade Curriculum. The topic for the Poster Contest is set by the Americanism Committee in the Spring for the upcoming fall school year. The contest will be judged at the National Congress each year. Many schools combine the study of history with art during their participation in this program. This multi-discipline approach enhances the learning experience for the youth.
